Devising a User-Centered Observation Plan

For this discussion assignment please create a post on Piazza under the "Week 4 Discussion Post: Devising a User-Centered Observation Plan" header.

Think of a new piece of software that you think should exist, but currently doesn't. Then devise a brief plan to carry out the observation phase of the user centered design process. Feel free to add visualizations to support your plan. Include at least the following three details in your response:

• The types of users necessary to recruit for the study and why
• The observation methodology - Will you simply observe users, or will you conduct interviews? Will users be in groups, or by themselves? What pieces of data will you collect? Screen recordings? Audio logs? etc.
• Describe your intended process for analyzing the data. What will you synthesize in order to arrive at a suitable problem statement?

If you do not want to suggest your own software idea, you can also outline the three pieces of information above from your point of view. Be sure to justify points of difference from the original poster, and you cannot just agree with everything the original poster said without expanding upon the justification.
